Still here, still going at it. Album (yes, album) is coming along well. Songs are written and recording has been going on for months. Trying to overcome my own shortcomings as a musician is especially difficult when I can’t find a way to reproduce the noises I hear in my head. Hoping to have some live/demo-ish stuff up on the site before the end of the year….which is only 12 days away. Crap.

Still here, still going strong. Hard at work on lots of new material, believe it or not. As a matter of fact, we’ve got at least 3 songs completed and another re-do done…we just can’t find time to record them. Actually, you can blame me. Between my hatred for creating drum tracks to the time/soul sucking games Red Dead Redemption and Halo: Reach, my productivity is non-existant. But have faith die hard fan(s) [or bored/misdirected surfers]! Inspiration and motivation have joined forces and lit a fire under my shapely backside! Thanks to Jonathan Coulton celebrating the 5 year anniversary of Thing A Week with a real time re-release and the healing power of Octoberfest, my resolve is stronger than ever to finish these musical gems and release them for your enjoyment! Seriously! And while I’m not quite ready to start guaranteeing a song a week like Jo-Co (I do have a baby due in less than a week after all), I will promise new greatness soon. Now if you’ll excuse me, I only need a few more hours until I hit 50 in RDR multiplayer… -J

Like many of you, we were sincerely saddened to hear of the passing of metal icon Ronnie James Dio. So, we’re going to cope with our grief the only way we know how: by recording a tribute song.

Just a quick update here: After a brief post-PAX break, we’re back at it. Not only are there some new tunes in the pipe, but we’ve begun work on a video project that we think you’ll get a kick out of. So hang in there and you shall be rewarded. Back to baseball…

First off, we really want to thank all of you again who we’ve met at PAX or since. The response we’ve gotten already has just been incredible. So much so, that we’ve decided to leave the freebies up for a while longer. So download away and spread ‘em around while they’re hot.

We also want to apologize to the non 3Gs iPhone & earlier Blackberry users out there. We didn’t realize those devices would have such a hard time scanning our QR code. And as a way of (hopefully) making up for the frustration involved, we’ve got a special surprise in store. So keep checking back, and hopefully we’ll have it up by the end of the week. Lets just say it’ll be radical, excellent, and probably totally tubular. For now…it’s back to the pizza and ooze for us.

Day one has come and gone. I think we must have walked close to 10 miles in all, but it was worth it and then some. Aside from all of the great panels, excellent exhibits and console rooms (my personal fav), we got to meet a ton of cool people.
Like these guys. Not only were the costumes spot on and the poses tight, they seemed to be in character…the entire time. We also got to chat with the people at Bonus-Level.com about their podcast, which is totally excellent. Be sure to check it out.

I personally had a fanboy moment when I got to meet both Jonathan Coulton and Storm of Paul & Storm. They were both very friendly and funny, taking time to talk with me before moving on to the next signing. Storm even signed our swag.

To all of you that we got to talk with, we hope you like the music and continue to come back for more. We’ve got several more tunes in the works, so check back often! Hope to see you all at PAX next year!
