Somehow it’s here again. Like a slumbering giant, it lurks, waiting for the moment when it may stride proudly out of it’s lair and demand tribute from the masses. Kind of. Maybe that’s going a little too far, but you get my drift. Of course I’m talking about PAX East 2013. The one time each year that Boston area geeks get to cut loose under one roof and indulge in our basest instincts: Playing, collecting, and tweeting.
As has become tradition, MisCast will be in attendance and releasing new music, but this year we’re doing things a little differently. First, we’ll be releasing a free single to the internet on Thursday. A cut off our upcoming album (album to be named later), free for all. Second, we’ll be giving away 300 copies of a special EP to PAX East attendees. The catch is, you’ll have to find us. Or we’ll find you. Last year Sull and I had a great time meeting (and drinking) with a bunch of cool people and we’re hoping to do more of that this year. We’ll be tweeting throughout PAX (starting Thursday night when we arrive) giving hints to our location or issuing challenges from the classic arcade room. Oh, and there will be easter eggs.
Perhaps most exciting of all, we’re going to be playing live at PAX this year! No, not at either of the concerts, but from the halls of the convention center. We’re plotting a couple of “ninja shows” Friday and Saturday and will be tweeting out the time/location as they draw near.
As always, we’re looking forward to meeting up with you all and for all the mayhem that is PAX. More to come…
